Ms Fair has forgotten the help China gave to Pakistan following the 65 war and its support during the 71 war.
ISLAMABAD: This is in response to Christine Fair’s articles of February 9 and 10 titled “Sovereignty over servitude”. I found the article very condescending towards Pakistanis since it makes them out to be clueless and completely unaware about what is good and bad for them.
Ms Fair seems to have forgotten the help China gave to Pakistan following the 1965 war and its active support during the 1971 war. It also helped in the construction of the aircraft rebuild factory in Kamra, the heavy rebuild factory in Taxila, nuclear power plants in Chashma and provided assistance during the 2005 earthquake and the 2010 flood. The writer should also keep in mind the assistance America is currently giving to India and the kind of relationship it currently enjoys with Pakistan’s eastern neighbour.
