Need of the hour is to implement standard infection control precautions
LAHORE: Keeping in view the recent cases of Congo fever in parts of Pakistan, a campaign in schools has been launched to create awareness about the disease, which deserves appreciation, as it will help prevent the spread of the disease.
A number of deaths has resulted from the virus in the country. Consequently, the government must pay extra attention to deal with the situation as cattle markets are being set up across the country for the public to buy sacrificial animals for Eidul Azha. Moreover, the need of the hour is to implement standard infection control precautions and take special preventive measures for cattle handlers to avoid contracting the virus.
