It is hoped that the government will remain sincere in its efforts to control crime
LAHORE: Keeping in view the recent surge in child abduction, the news that the Punjab police rescued 26 children from across the metropolitan city of Lahore in the last four days is really commendable and shows that the police authorities are truly concerned about the sensitivity of the issue. However, it is really that most of these children left their homes due to negligence by their own parents.
The news that militants and criminal elements from other provinces may also be involved in the kidnapping of these children is also worrying. Since it is the responsibility of the state and government to provide security, control crime and maintain law and order, the government and departments concerned must play their part in wiping out criminals and terrorists from across the country. In addition, parents are also advised to be kind to their children and not treat them harshly in order to avoid any such unfortunate incidents. It is hoped that the government will remain sincere in its efforts to control crime and bring criminals to justice in order to make the lives of people more secure.
