Humanity at crossroads

Letter July 05, 2016
Humanity is always the victim

LARKANA: The Muslim world is bleeding over the assassination of Amjad Sabri on June 22 in Pakistan followed by the ruthless killing of 20 hostages in Bangladesh on July 1, over 200 people killed in Iraq on July 3 and a series of bombings in Saudi Arabia on July 4 — all of this depicts a gloomy picture of the security situation prevailing in the Muslim world across the globe.

Whoever may be the perpetrators of such heinous crimes, the victims are none other than innocent human beings and humanity as a whole. The culprits could either be Muslim or non-Muslim, or belonging to the the East or the West, the victim is humanity. If such atrocities can befall Karachi, Baghdad, Dhaka and Medina, then they could also befall other places of the world.

Hence, wisdom should dawn upon all international actors to take into account the alarming security situation erupting all over the world and treat it as a common challenge afflicting humanity.
