Most of our popular talk show hosts seem to be violating basic conventions of ethics and even conversation.
LAHORE: This is with reference to Ayesha Azhar’s article of January 31 titled “Desensitising the nation”. She is right that initiatives regarding a code of conduct for the media are necessary to ensure professionalism in the media itself. I wonder if anchor persons, news writers and newscasters are given training, especially regarding the choice of language to be used in different situations and what kind of questions to ask guests.
Most of our popular talk show hosts seem to be violating basic conventions of ethics and even conversation. The need to sensitise the media on a code of conduct is, hence, great.
