I request that the matter be taken seriously by municipal authorities
KARACHI: I would like to draw the attention of the relevant authorities towards the unhygienic conditions prevailing in Karachi. The streets are not swept regularly. Horrible odours from garbage permeates the air. Dirty water can be seen overflowing from gutters. Pedestrians face difficulty when crossing the road. The situation is giving rise to many dangerous diseases. There are worries about the spread of malaria, dengue and cholera in such an environment.
I request that the matter be taken seriously by municipal authorities. Immediate steps should be taken to maintain cleanliness.
