It is pertinent to make accountable the institutions responsible for ensuring transparency in the common man’s life
LARKANA: Corruption has become a sort of culture in Pakistan. It is rotting society by every means possible. Although the military has started the process of accountability in its institution, the corruption that is being faced by the common man in every sphere of life is yet to be seen as a problem by our ruling elite, let alone attempting to uproot the evil from our system. The institutions responsible for ensuring transparency in the common man’s life are corrupt themselves. To ensure that these anti-corruption institutions work against corruption, it is pertinent to make these institutions accountable too. It is suggested that every officer in these institutions be audited along with his or her family, by an internationally reputable auditing firm, on a regular basis.
