Protection of journalists

Letter April 18, 2016
Seventy journalists have lost their lives since the year 2001 and 28 were killed last year

KECH: It is an unfortunate fact that Pakistan is ranked as the fourth-worst country in terms of the number of unresolved cases of violence against journalists. According to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), 70 journalists have lost their lives since the year 2001 and 28 were killed last year.

I request the government to take serious steps for the protection of journalists and ensure their safety at all costs.
