State of education in Sindh

Letter April 14, 2016
We have a growing number of students who have no knowledge and education; they possess only degrees

DADU: The education of Sindh is not progressing, and in fact, has been sliding backwards day by day. We have a growing number of students who have no knowledge and education; they possess only degrees. In the rural areas, the majority of children are illiterate.

However, the blame lies with our parents, teachers, and government officials, who have encouraged this unlawful way. It is beyond dismal that our teachers and education specialists are not fulfilling their duties. Children are unable to pass exams and resort to fake degrees.

Nelson Mandela stated that education is a weapon that can change the world. The government should pay heed to this statement and take a stand against teachers who don’t fulfil their duties, as well as keep a stringent check on corrupt exam staff and cheating students.
