I request the government to facilitate senior citizens at Nadra offices and ensure that the rules are followed
RAWALPINDI: I recently visited the Rawalpindi Nadra Office to get my CNIC. I reached at 9.00 am. Despite severe back problems, I stood in line. There was a woman standing next to me in the line, holding her about six-month-old child in her arms and there were also many older people standing in an extended queue that were not looking well physically.
There were two reasons for Nadra entertaining us very late. The main reason was that the majority of people were coming with references. The second reason for the sluggish token line flow, was that only one man was entertaining both the male and female lines.
Government organisations such as Nadra need to maintain a standard of professionalism and comfort for citizens.
I request the government to facilitate senior citizens at Nadra offices and ensure that the rules are followed. Sufficient seating arrangements for people need to be made as well so that they can wait for their turns comfortably.
