Malakand is provided electricity eight to 12 hours only and the voltage remains low in these hours
There are three hydel power stations in Malakand District. Despite this, these areas experience a ‘surge’ in power cuts in the summer. In 24 hours, we are provided with only eight to 12 hours of electricity and the voltage remains low in these hours. We are subjected to power outage every alternate hour. If the local grid is facing line losses, then it should find a viable solution. Ruthless power cuts are not a solution and it only brings misery to the already dejected masses.
