Bernie Sanders: the oracle

Letter April 12, 2016
Bernie Sanders, the democratic candidate in the US elections, anticipated the consequences of the Panama agreement

KARACHI: The 11.5 million documents from Mossack Fonseca have unleashed a clamour around the globe. However, before the outbreak of this story, Bernie Sanders, the democratic presidential candidate in the 2016 US elections, anticipated the consequences of the Panama agreement, signed in 2011. He was at odds with the pact and shot down all arguments that claimed the pact would lead to an escalation in the US job engine. He then went on and cautioned the US Senate of the corruption that would follow due to Panama being a tax haven. And, that is exactly what has happened since then.

Interestingly enough, his rival, Hilary Clinton, was completely in favour of the Panama Free Trade Agreement. This gives Sanders major leverage over Clinton, since it is now certified that Clinton is among the demographic that led to this turmoil, even though she has not yet directly been linked to any corruption cases.

Sanders’ prophecies could have saved America from this stain. He is a man of great foresight, accepting of people of all races and religions, with nothing but the best interest of the country in mind. Yet, it is Clinton who is at the forefront.

If the people of America do not soon comprehend that it is Sanders who is always thinking miles ahead of the rest and has what it takes to bring peace and prosperity to not only America but to the rest of the world as well, then Americans are truly beyond worth saving.
