Panama leaks: storm in a teacup

Letter April 10, 2016
Why should the prime minister appear on national media when his hands are clean?

LAHORE: It is heartening to note that the Panama Leaks have exposed the dirty, filthy and rapacious nature of those who already have enough money to be buried in it six feet deep. However, as far as Pakistan is concerned, the leaks do not mention the prime minister. Therefore, the only suspicious matter about the involvement of the Sharifs is why should the prime minister appear on national media when his hands are clean? His sons and daughter are adults; they must clarify their own positions. In this particular case, it is not more than a storm in a teacup. However, we must utilise this opportunity to thoroughly investigate all the individuals accused in this gem of investigative journalism.

It remains a matter of concern that, as a nation, we have developed a habit of making noise without thinking. And, everyone is guilty in this matter.
