Those who fell victims to the blast in Lahore simply needed safety for their lives
PESHAWAR: They need no headlines in the newspaper, they need no publicity, they need no metro buses, they need no money from the government to be paid to their families after dying in the explosion, they need no sympathy from others on social media and from people who mourn for a day and then forget about them.
They simply need safety for their lives in the independent state of Pakistan, which seems to have lost all semblance of humanity and peace. One 27-year-old man witnessed his parents, sisters and other relatives die on the spot and there are many other people who had a similar experience, including young children. In a short amount of time, the park turned into a graveyard.
The outcome of the blast will see debates on how many Christians and how many Muslims died and then they will forget about the incident altogether. They will forget the individuals who lost their loved ones and will never see their smiles again.
