I am surprised by the dual standards and hypocrisy of our society.
LAHORE: This is with reference to your report of January 20 titled “Deedar dances at GCU fundraiser”. Without going into the ifs and buts of the argument and wishing to be the Devil’s Advocate, I must say I am surprised by the dual standards and hypocrisy of our society. Deedar dances on stage at the Alhamra and Tamaseel, she dances on cable TV channels, she dances on CDs, which sell like hot cakes and she has performed her routines in several movies, more than 60 stage dramas and has had several television appearances. So why the fuss if she dances at a fundraiser for the Government College University?
