Seven months have passed to the crane crash incident in Saudi Arabia but there has not been a compensation
KARACHI: I was a victim of the Haram Crane incident this Hajj. I was seriously injured and operated on in Makkah, supposedly, on behalf of the Saudi Government. King Salman ordered compensation to the injured and Shuhada of the accident, three days after the incident. However, after seven months passed, I contacted others who were also injured and admitted to the hospital with me — they belonged to countries such as India, Bangladesh and Kenya — and to this date, we have no information about the compensation process. I contacted the Saudi consulate and they retorted that they don’t have any information regarding such a process. I contacted the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Islamabad and got the same answer. I request the authorities concerned to kindly help us resolve this matter and guide us, as to what can be done.
