Garbage is burnt all over DG Khan, causing respiratory diseases and environmental pollution
DG KHAN: Garbage disposal and waste management has become a big concern in the city of DG Khan where heaps of litter can be seen encompassing every nook and cranny. And, to add insult to injury, garbage is burnt all over the city, which has been the cause of respiratory diseases and environmental pollution. Children and senior citizens are the major victims of the hazardous impact that garbage-burning has, which has made it impossible to breathe clean air that’s not tainted with toxic fumes. Unfortunately, the authorities concerned have paid no attention to this serious issue, despite several requests in writing and complaints made to the chief minister.
I hope this letter draws the attention of the Punjab chief minister so that he takes immediate remedial measures, such as punishment to those who burn garbage without any fear of consequences.
