PPP and PML-N — no difference

Letter January 15, 2011
PML-N to PPP to implement 10-point agenda suggests that there is no difference between the two parties.

LAHORE: Your recent coverage of the deadline given by the PML-N to the PPP-led government to implement a 10-point agenda, and the latter’s eventual acceptance of this, suggests that, ideologically speaking, there is no difference between the two parties.

One of the main points is to eradicate corruption, but can we expect these parties to investigate themselves, since many of their own members have been accused of being involved in corrupt practices?

Another example could be seen in Latif Khosa’s appointment as governor of Punjab. When he was the attorney general, the PML-N wanted him removed, and also when he was an adviser to the prime minister. And now the same party is welcoming his appointment as governor.
