Establishing justice

Letter January 18, 2016
Had our rulers understood importance of justice, they would have established it in all of its forms and manifestations

ISLAMABAD: The common belief upon which Pakistan was founded was that justice would be the foundation of ruling practices and governments. However, our rulers are yet to understand and realise the importance of justice in society.

Had they realised its significance, our society would not have become synonymous with injustice — especially, social and administrative justice. Many employees would not have been denied timely promotions and other service rights in public sector organisations. Had our rulers understood the importance of justice, they would have established it in all of its forms and manifestations.
