LAHORE: This is to clarify a report in your newspaper by Hani Taha titled “Blood on the dance floor” published on January 1, 2011.
The objective of the evening in question was to thank a select group of people for their generosity in giving to those devastated by the floods of last year by arranging a fun-filled evening.
We at J&S have been in this business of event management for over nine years in Pakistan and follow strict brand guidelines. As per our standard post-event review policy, we have requested all our main suppliers, all of whom we have worked with on countless events, to submit their report.
We stand accountable for the incident that occurred. A portion of the dance floor collapsed. A few people were affected by this and this caused a break of 10-15 minutes in the evening. The floor was soon fixed and the evening continued successfully for the next four hours. J&S have taken full responsibility of this unfortunate occurrence and in future we will ensure that something like this will not happen again.
