Polio in Balochistan

Letter January 04, 2016
The number of polio cases reported in Balochistan in 2015 fell as compared to the previous year

TURBAT: It is good news that 2015 was a relatively peaceful year for polio workers in Balochistan. The authorities are making an effort to get every child in the province vaccinated against polio. The number of polio cases reported in Balochistan in 2015 fell as compared to the previous year, which is a positive development. Some families in the province that previously refused vaccination for their children granted permission to vaccinating teams this time around.

We hope that in 2016 Balochistan will become a polio-free province and Pakistan a polio-free country.
