The decision by K-P government to end VIP protocol in the province needs consistency
KARACHI: Referring to the news item in your newspaper, “K-P CM orders police not to block roads for President Mamnoon’s visit” published on December 30, I want to draw attention towards the issue of security protocols. After the death of Bisma in Karachi, the issue gained importance in national and social media.
The step by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government deserves admiration from all quarters, but we need consistency here. We have seen in the past how numerous issues fade from the minds of the populace with the passage of time. If efforts like this one weaken with time, then we will not see substantial results. Measures regarding the curbing of protocol should produce a society where the protocol culture becomes a part of the past.
