Former chief justice’s party

Letter December 31, 2015
The political party of former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry has a name as complex as the country’s judicial system

RAWALPINDI: Former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry has launched a political party under the name of Pakistan Justice Democratic Critic Party. It is interesting because the party’s chosen name is as complex as the country’s judicial system and likewise, it is beyond the comprehension of the common man. The party manifesto is likely to be even more complicated. An ordinary citizen will have to hire the services of a lawyer to understand it.

I appeal to the worthy ex-chief justice to kindly consider a simpler name like the Pakistan Insaf Party, which may appeal to the common man who is more likely to support him, as the privileged class has not been too happy with his verdicts.
