Human trafficking

Letter December 24, 2015
According to the UN, 2.5 million people from 127 countries, including Pakistan, are being trafficked

TURBAT: Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of sexual labour or commercial sexual exploitation. According to the United Nations, approximately 2.5 million people from 127 countries are being trafficked at the present point in time, with Pakistan also included among the states where this problem persists.

Punjab and Sindh are notorious for a flourishing human trafficking trade. Human trafficking is a social problem that has the potential to harm the foundations of society. The government needs to take this problem seriously and take steps against those involved in this heinous crime.
