ISLAMABAD: The appointment of a professional officer, Nisar Mohammad Khan, as head of the federal department of revenue is a laudable decision by the government. It is in the interest of good tax administration.
It is hoped that now, due priority will be given to reforming the tax administration structure. In this regard, it is proposed that the revenue division should have two departments with professional heads for internal and external fields of taxation. The Federal Board of Revenue should facilitate coordination between these two departments.
