ISLAMABAD: One of my friends who works for an international NGO, while visiting various district courts throughout the county, told me that the situation in courts at this level is dire as genuine issues remain unaddressed, with a crumbling court infrastructure and the poor capacity-building of key players of the judicial system.
Dispensation of justice has become so tedious that most litigants, especially, the have-nots regard the law as an enemy. Our judicial system is just not slow, it is also costly and corrupt, and refuses to reform.
