Letter December 03, 2015
The upgrade of the air navigation infrastructure at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore is a welcome step

LAHORE: In winters, hundreds of flights are affected due to extreme weather conditions. Thanks to the PML-N government, people will not have to face such hassles from now on. The upgrade of the air navigation infrastructure at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore is a welcome step.

The establishment of the state-of-the-art Instrument Landing System (ILS) CAT III-B is a milestone, which will help improve visibility during foggy conditions. The ILS CAT-III is a ground-based instrument approach system that provides assistance to help the aircraft land in a risk-free manner.
