Peshawar’s most posh and secure area, Mall Road, has a massive rubbish dump and which has not been picked up for years
TEXAS, USA: Imran Khan has announced that the PTI government is beginning an environmental clean-up campaign in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
I live in the US and visit Peshawar twice a year. Sorry to report but Peshawar’s most posh and secure area, Mall Road, in Cantt has a massive rubbish dump right in front of the prestigious Mall Tower. The site is in direct view when you enter the tower, near a doughnut shop and a doctor’s clinic. The dumped waste has not been picked up for years. Waste from the doctor’s clinic, consisting of used syringes and dirty, infected bandages, is especially dangerous.
I would love for this situation to be brought to the attention of Imran Khan. An average person like me cannot approach the former cricket captain when even his own party workers fight one another just to get close to him.
