Ali | 3 years ago | Reply | The word "matchless" can be used only by someone who has never been outside Pakistan and suffers from a severe case of ignorance inspired Patriotism. I live in Southern Germany and the Alpine mountains, valleys, forests and lakes are extraordinarily beautiful and the best of Pakistan cannot even begin to compete with it. Not to mention everywhere else in Germany. The castles, medieval style beautiful towns, cathedrals and so on. Not saying that beauty isn't found in the Pakistani Himalayas and Karakotum regions and elsewhere. It's just that it is simply an ignorant overstatement to declare that Pakistan's beauty is "matchless".

jsdc007 | 3 years ago | Reply | Kashmir in Pakistan is beautiful. Kashmir in India was beautiful too decades ago when I visited regularly as a child with my family. Gulmarg and Pahalgam were some of the most beautiful places in the subcontinent. Can't vouch for its beauty now, but judging by photographs, war, terrorism, genocide, murder and mayhem, and neglect on both sides of the border appear to have turned the Kashmir Valley into a mini-Afghanistan.

The picture number 16 which is showcased as Rohtas fort is actually Katas Raj Temples near Chakwal, Islamabad. I second the comment that these places are so beautiful even if the writer opted for non-photoshop pix..he would hv prove his point anyway.

Bharat's Occupied Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, East Bengal Manipur, Bodoland, Nagaland all want to secede. Leave. Only the savage reign of terror by the Hindustani Army is keeping them in line,...but not for long.

arun | 5 years ago Pakistan also has or is having seperatist movements in Balochistan,Sindhudesh and Pashtunistan.Afghanistan also claims KPK and other pashtun terroritories of pakistan as they were occupied by sikhs and british empire from Afghan Durrani dynasty.On top of that pakistan has to fight never ending conflict with islamist fundamentalists like Taliban and Alqaeda.India also has problems but Indian economy is growing which is helping India spend more in reducing unemployment and improving security.Richer a country becomes,lesser problems it would have!!

Milind A | 5 years ago Get your facts right - there are no separatist movements in Arunachal Pradesh. In fact the Arunachalis are jittery of China swallowing them up and are for India... And when was East Bengal (Bangladesh) part of India after 1947? That never belonged to us. It was part of your country and you couldn't manage it.. Next time be specific, else you make a laughing stock of yourself...

Hamidah Fawad | 5 years ago | Reply | The route to Gwadar along the Makran Coastal Highway is actually quite safe and gorgeous. Honestly speaking the pictures don't do it justice. Recently I visited a place called Kund Malir which is on the way to Gwadar and the scenic beauty of the place itself and others along the route was breathtaking and our cameras definitely didn't do it justice. Most of these places are pretty much accessible at the right time of the year. I also believe that when you make it too easy for people to reach these places, they become commercialised and lose their rustic charm and beauty. This is what happened to Lake Saif ul maluk in Naraan and I am a witness to the commercialisation of this beautiful lake. Believe me, I would take the hardships that I faced to visit this place 25 years ago when it was relatively untouched than take the easy route available these days and see what has become of this place.

Saif Jędrzejowski | 5 years ago I live in Qatar, I have been to half of these places. they're extremely beautiful and its like a different world. Everybody is busy in their own world and enjoying the views. Plus there is pretty good security in these places and you do not even have to worry about anything.

Milind A | 5 years ago Sorry, I can't understand the concept of 'Free' Kashmir 'With' Pakistan? If Pakistanis genuinely care for Kashmiris, then this Azad Kashmir should be a separate country altogether - with its own constitution, rulers. All Pakistani Punjabi settlers should be sent back to Pakistan. Have this done and then come back to us asking for our Kashmir to be freed. BTW - We strongly believe in Kashmir being part of Indian Union...

hassan | 5 years ago northern lights are not depicted in that picture, you can see the stars and galaxy from naked eye due to clear sky and high altiude of13500ft. there is nothing wrong with the picture fairy meadows is the base camp for Nanaga Parbat.

Fizz | 5 years ago | Reply | It is beautiful, of that there is little doubt. Is it however accessible and appealing for travellers? The thing about Switzerland is that the country has taken the time and effort to make even most remote places easily reachable - using a combination of superb train services, cable cars, hiking trails, buses etc. All of these are not only tourist friendly, but extremely family friendly as well. Pakistan really needs to do a lot more to not just attract people (it should start with the domestic population) but by building an entire industry and an eco-system of ancillary services all of which work towards providing a great experience for travellers, adventure seekers and the like. I won't even get to the security aspects of some of these places. Gwadar in Balochistan? Really?
