KARACHI: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) chief coach Jansher Khan intends to prepare junior players with a revamped training staff for the World Junior Championship. He suggested that the seniors be trained by former players.

The restructuring of the training staff began with the appointment of former world number two Mohibullah Khan, who will serve as the chief trainer, while four more trainers will be hired for the junior players.

Jansher stated that his priority were the junior players and planned to recommend the PSF to invest more in the youngsters.

However, Jansher, who is focusing on promoting the sport at the grass-root level, feels that the senior players like Aamir Atlas, Farhan Mehboob should be guided by former international players including Gogi Allauddin and Jamshed Gul.

“I want to change the coaches for the senior players,” Jansher told the Express Tribune. “I am recommending Gogi and Jamshed because they can spend at least four to five hours with the  players in the court.”
