Let us enjoy nature

Businessmen shouldn’t mutilate natural tourist resorts for their own commercial advantage

KARACHI: This refers to the reports of various projects being set up in Gilgit-Baltistan by both the government and the private sector. Around 200 hotels are going to be built by foreign investors who have great expectations from the turnout these would receive from tourists. I’m of the opinion that the government should build better roads in the hilly areas to facilitate safe and stress-free travel for both the locals and tourists.

From Do Darya, Karachi, to Gilgit, every locale of natural beauty is being transformed for commercial purposes and into custom-built environments. Businessmen, with their interests vested in the commercial value of these locations, should simply let us enjoy nature the way it is. They shouldn’t mutilate natural tourist resorts for their own commercial advantage.
