ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to your report of December 24 titled “Protesters warn of anarchy if blasphemy changed”.
Those who take part in such protests in all likelihood don’t know what the blasphemy law is all about and how it is misused. They are but a flock of sheep, brought to the streets by rightwing religious party leaders and clerics.
What we need, however, is for the educated and liberal people to also demonstrate their resolve in this matter and to assert their voice. For, if that is not done, then the mullahs will have their way.
