Raining death: 11 dead, 15 injured in rain-related incidents

KHAR/ ABBOTABAD: At least 11 people died while 15 people were injured in separate rain-related incidents in Hangu, Bajaur Agency and Hazara on Monday.

According to an official of Khar, the headquarters of Bajaur Agency, six of a family died while five others were injured when the roof of a house collapsed in Mamond tehsil of the agency.

The deceased and injured were pulled out from the debris by locals. The injured were rushed to a hospital and are in critical condition.

Over the last three days, Bajaur Agency has received heavy rains which have resulted in loss of life and damage to property.

Two minors died in Mungli village of Balakot after the boundary wall of their house collapsed.

The deceased have been identified as six-year-old Kubra Bibi and three-year-old Fiza Noor, who were daughters of Muhammad Naseem.

Meanwhile, in Hazara, five people were injured in various roof collapse incidents.

In Hangu, two children died while five people, including women, got injured in rain-related incidents in separate areas.

A 14-year-old girl died when roof of a house collapsed in an area of Mohmand Agency.
