RAWALPINDI: The Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB), Rawalpindi, has done a commendable job of replacing open garbage dumps with a beautifully painted mobile garbage container in Chaklala Scheme III, commercial market. I hope this idea will be implemented in the entire Chaklala cantonment to minimise sources of diseases.
It is hoped that a garbage dump that was removed during the construction of the underpass at Jhelum Road will also be replaced with a mobile garbage container to facilitate garbage disposal by residents of the area. This is an immediate requirement because some residents cannot go to a garbage dump located half a kilometre away to dispose of their trash.
