The director will visit Pakistan 'very soon'.

Imran Abbas is making headlines in India. The Pakistani star -- who is busy promoting his upcoming movie, Jaanisar -- has now revealed that the film’s director Muzaffar Ali will be coming to Pakistan for the movie’s release.

The dates of Muzaffar’s visit are not known as yet but Imran did mention that it would be ‘very soon’.

Imran himself is very excited about the movie and has said he is playing his dream role in Jaanisar. “I think for any actor this will be a dream role. Very few people make these kind of films, and when Muzaffar Ali offered this role to me, it was like a dream come true for me,” he said in a recent interview.

Jaanisar is a period drama set in 1877 that follows the love story of a revolutionary courtesan from Awadh and a prince raised in England. Imran Abbas is joined by stylist Pernia Qureshi in the cast.

Muzaffar Ali -- who has also directed classics like Umraojaan and Anjuman -- will also be seen acting in Jaanisar but he also once quipped that he “committed a mistake” by agreeing to act in the film.

“If you look at my character, you’ll find that the character is extremely exciting. He is a person who has experienced 1857 and he has noticed how there was a corpse hanging on every tree. He realised that for this revolt, not just aggression, but consciousness was also required.

“He’s trying to keep alive the fire while also becoming an inspiration for the girl (Pernia Qureshi), and he is aware of all the secrets associated with this boy (Imran Abbas) which gets revealed in the end,” Ali said of his character.

The scenes featuring the director have been helmed by his son Shaad, who has earlier directed Saathiya. Jaanisaar is releasing on August 7.
