The award does not recognise my efforts alone

SWAT: A Swat-based journalist was given an award by Darwish Kabina Welfare Foundation, a social organisation, for his work on peace, tourism and flood disasters. The award was presented to Sherinzada, who works for Express News, by the foundation’s special assistant, Shahid Masood, during a ceremony held at Swat Press Club on Wednesday. Representatives from the organisation and a large number of journalists based in Swat attended the ceremony. The foundation selected Sherinzada on merit, said Masood. “The award serves as proof of foundation’s willingness to recognise the struggle of journalists in Swat,” he said. Speaking on the occasion, Sherinzada said it was a great honour that the foundation selected him for the award. “The award does not recognise my efforts alone,” he said. “It recognises the efforts of all journalists from Swat.”
