BAHAWALPUR: A woman and an alleged accomplice were arrested for killing her husband on Thursday.
Baghdadul Jadeed police said Shahid had been arrested over 20 robbery and murder cases. They said he had been released on bail a few days ago. They said he was asleep at his house on Wednesday when he was attacked by his wife Yasmin and an accomplice, Farooq. He died without receiving any medical assistance.
They said Yasmin then called neighbours for help, saying Farooq had killed Shahid in his sleep. Police arrested her on Thursday morning. During interrogation, she confessed to killing her husband with Farooq’s help. Police later arrested Farooq and have registered a case.
