LAHORE:

Adviser to Chief Minister on Health Khwaja Salman Rafique ordered on Monday that a campaign against dengue fever be continued.

“Outdoor as well as indoor surveillance to check dengue mosquito larvae should continue during and after monsoon,” the adviser said at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Dengue at Civil Secretariat.

He ordered authorities to make sure that spray pumps, foggers and pesticides were available to the staff tasked with fighting the virus.

Rafique reviewed steps taken by various departments to control dengue fever.

He was presented a report on potential mosquito breeding sites in graveyards, junkyards and hospitals. He directed the Sheikhupura health EDO to intensify his efforts against dengue fever.
