Known for taking up only strong roles, Parineeti is said to have agreed to do the movie because she found it challenging. The source said, “Like Salman, the leading heroine is also a wrestler in the film. Sultan is not about glorifying Salman. So it was not too difficult to get Parineeti to say yes.”

Before Parineeti, it was reported that Kangana Ranaut was signed for the role. Kangana confirmed the news but also said she had to back out due to prior commitments.

Whereas, sources also say that Aditya Chopra of YRF was upset with Kangana talking about the film so he called Parineeti and took her on board in Kanagana’s stead. And Pari wouldn’t refuse her mentor.
