Misappropriation: NAB K-P takes PDA officials to task

PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa awareness and prevention wing director Mirza Irfan Baig has taken notice of the misuse of authority on part of Peshawar Development Authority officials. PDA officials are allegedly involved in misappropriation in the allotment of plots to education and health sectors in Hayatabad Township. PDA has been asked to respond. Directives have been issued to ensure transparency in PDA’s operations. PDA estate management director Riaz Ali told NAB officials that following their intervention, several illegal allotments were reversed and Rs15 million have been saved from being embezzled.
