E-Learning and Pakistan

Letter May 25, 2015
Why doesn’t the government integrate internet and computer-based technologies in its schools, colleges & universities?

KARACHI: E-learning is one of the most rapidly growing fields of education and its potential impact on effective education delivery through the development of internet-based information technologies is gradually being realised in today’s world. For students, e-learning means increased access to information and a more learner-centred approach.

It is clear that e-learning will be important for standard education but now the question is, why is the government not pursuing this 21st century movement seriously? Why doesn’t the government integrate internet and computer-based technologies in its schools, colleges and universities?
