Trouble for KU evening students

Letter May 22, 2015
The authorities concerned are requested to ensure the availability and flow of KU Point buses

KARACHI: A crucial issue faced by evening students of the University of Karachi (KU) is the unavailability of university buses, a transportation service known as the Point, even though evening students pay higher fees than morning students. When the evening directorate was contacted in this regard, he did not have a solution to the problem. A student organisation attempted to resolve the matter and succeeded by providing four extra Point buses. However, these are not enough for the huge number of evening students.

Furthermore, whenever there is disturbance in the city, the bus service is immediately suspended, due to which students become stranded. The authorities concerned are requested to ensure the availability and flow of KU Point buses.
