Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra has asked the prime minister to take notice of the attitude of officers of the Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), saying the business community is suffering at the hands of bureaucrats.


Underscoring the need of taking immediate steps in order to give some relief to the business and industrial community, Vohra said dozens of businessmen and industrialists had been approaching the Karachi Chamber to seek assistance and get their complaints addressed.


“Businesses are constantly receiving notices from the DG Intelligence and Investigation and their shops, offices, factories and units are also being raided because of the extraordinary discretionary powers.
