Unhygienic food at weddings

I would like to draw attention of health authorities to look into the activities of caterers & ensure quality control

KARACHI: A few weeks ago, I attended a wedding where the menu was scrumptious and the aroma and presentation of the food was really good. While enjoying my food, I found a dead black spider in my plate. It was not too small to be ignored — it was about an inch long and I was pretty sure it contained some kind of poison. Thankfully, I was able to spot it before consuming it. I wonder how many other plates were like mine, where people spotted insects, but failed to report them. Or worse, they did not spot any insect at all.

Local caterers often cook food in an unhygienic environment where insects roam around freely. This can cause serious health risks and may even result in death. Through your reputed newspaper, I would like to draw attention of the health authorities to look into the activities of caterers and ensure quality control.
