Islamabad court acquits Lakhvi in kidnapping case

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad District and Sessions Court acquitted on Tuesday Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, the alleged mastermind of Mumbai attack, of charges in a kidnapping case, Express News reported.

In December last year, the Golra police had registered a case against Lakhvi for allegedly kidnapping Anwar Khan, a resident of Islamabad, six years ago.

Kidnapping case: Lakhvi indictment deferred again

Session Court Judge Tanveer Mir heard the case today after a judicial magistrate had deferred the indictment of Lakhvi on April 5. Earlier, police had failed to produce the accused in court due to ‘security reasons’.
