Emerging Pakistani cinema

Letter March 27, 2015
Cinema owners should give Pakistani movies priority over English and Indian movies

RAWALPINDI: After Bol, Khuda Key Liye, Chambeli, Waar, Operation 021, Na Maloom Afraad, Jalaibee and the upcoming movie, Ho Mann Jahan, by Bushra Ansari, I feel that Pakistani cinema has finally started emerging. Our filmmakers’ hard work is finally bearing fruit. People have started going back to cinemas to watch Pakistani movies.

Now, it is our and cinema owners’ responsibility to save our film industry. Our filmmakers are giving their 100 per cent. Cinema owners should give Pakistani movies priority over English and Indian movies and we, the public, should go and watch these films.
