SHABQADAR: The right-hand man and cousin of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA from PK-22 Muhammad Arif, Dr Rizwanullah Ahmadzai, has decided to quit the party and join the Jamaat-e-Islami. According to insiders, Dr Ahmadzai announced his decision to resign on Tuesday. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Ahmadzai said Arif had failed to deliver on his promises to the people of Charsadda. “The idea of Naya Pakistan has been used to deceive the masses,” he said. “Corruption exists in every department.” Meanwhile, JI tehsil amir Qari Shafiullah welcomed Ahmadzai with open arms. “Ahmadzai played a pivotal role in helping PTI win the 2013 elections and will be an asset to our party,” he added. As the date for the Senate elections draws closer, tensions have emerged within PTI in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal belt.
