Sino-Pak relations

Letter February 16, 2015
The maintenance of strategic balance in the South Asian region is the need of the time

BAHAWALPUR: The Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, was given a warm reception in Pakistan. He was conferred with the Hilal-e-Pakistan award and several ceremonies were arranged in his honour. Pakistanis are always emotional, warm-hearted and full of brotherly feelings for China. Indeed, Sino-Pak relations are deep-rooted and irreplaceable. Pakistan benefits greatly from the Chinese calculus and has historically benefited greatly by the blossoming friendship between the two countries.

The maintenance of strategic balance in the South Asian region is the need of the time, not only for Pakistan but also for China. To meet these challenges, both nations are keen, active and eager to extend commitments and cooperation beyond limits.
