Missing teachers

College administration provided free books to him, which was good news; but bad news is all classes are not being held

KARACHI: My son is a student of Government Degree Boys College, Jungle Shah, Keamari, Karachi. He got enrolled last year in the first year pre-engineering programme. The administration of the college provided free books to him, which was good news for us; but the bad news is that all classes are not being carried out by teachers. Several complaints have been submitted to the administration, which went unheeded.

We are worried about our son’s future. How will he pass the annual examination? My complaint does not mean that I am against teachers; teaching is certainly an honourable and respectable profession. But I am talking about a particular problem, which students of the above-mentioned college face repeatedly. I urge the officials concerned to take action and ask the college administration to ensure that all teachers take their classes regularly so that students get a proper education.
