Malpractices at Jamshoro university

Letter January 28, 2015
Students’ names are often misspelt on mark sheets, certificates, which compromises credibility of certificates awarded

BADIN: It has been observed that no checks and balance are adhered to at the University of Sindh, Jamshoro. Students’ names are often misspelt on mark sheets and certificates, which compromises the credibility of the certificates awarded. Often, the university administration muddles up other records too, such as the name of a student’s father, residential address, etc.

Most students are often unaware that in the future, such errors will create trouble for them. When they go to verify their degrees from the Higher Education Commission, they have to brave much bureaucratic hassle to get their certificates verified. Students then have to bear additional expenses of getting their certificates verified by the university. If the administration simply does its job properly, students will not have to face all these troubles.
